A legendary doctor whom i have met:Dr. TRP

It was the very first day of my professional life. I was really tensed like every other people. I joined for duty in LF hospital,Angamali immediately after finishing MBBS and yeah not preplanned.Life was without plans then. My unit head ,Dr. Thomas Raju Paul aka Dr TRP landed like a lion entering his kingdom. He addressed nurses and wished them good morning. Then looked at me. Asked my name and a few things. I was supposed to assist his unit colleague Dr Gopakumar sir(Dr. GK).

                            A month later, i was shifted to Dr trp's part of the ward.My ward name is 'L'ward which is again divided into L1 and L2. Morning rounds was fine. He understood my immaturity as a JR and ignorance in the clinical practice. A doctor becomes perfect through practice. It was taught to me by him;not through lectures. But through his daily practice.

Dr. TRP is a Dr. Perfect person. Very punctual, health conscious and Mr. Perfectionist in whatever he does.There is a myriad of things to learn from him like how he addresses patients,how he deals with caregivers ,how he prescribes medicines,how he diagnoses diseases and many more. I worked with him for about three years and still working. These days many doctors prescribe polypharmacy. But he gives his patients minimal medicines.

I remember an incident. Two years back ,one old lady came with disorientation. But in her deepest disorientation , she was remembering her treating doctors name, dr Raju paul. It striked my heart and mind. I was astonished thinking how deeply people love him and respect him. Similarly, one young girl,16 yr old was diagnosed to have diabetes. Dr Trp had a secret talk with her. We all know diabetes is a serious disease that can affect a person very badly. People find it difficult to address this problem if comes in a young age. But once she got discharged , she left a a greeting card(selfmade) for her friendly doctor.

It is very easy to treat patients. But to provide appropriate treatment and utmost care needs dedication. It is good to be admired as a doctor. But to be admired as the best , we need to be the best. This is possible only for Legends.

That New Friend...

We all  have some people in our lives whom we value precious. It  can be our  family, friends , colleagues or some people we admire the most like our teachers ,film artists and many more. We love them and care for them. They also do the same back.
                Love and care are the elementary  components in a relationship. When its lost, the relation will shatter into pieces . But when its there relationship will be an everlasting bond like a lifetime investment ..
       A few years back ,in september 18 2017 ,i met someone at my home. It was so called kerala tradition "pennu kaanal".; which means a guy comes to see a girl with his family for marriage ,to girls home. I was slightly tensed since it was my first time. My cousins were teasing me. Uncles and aunts gave a class on how to behave when they come. Finally he came .. I didnt see him. Everyone else saw him and gave me good feedbacks. And i was like" HuH". Tachycardias and palpitations were happening as if i am appearing for ma final mbbs exam vivas. The adrenaline surge made me like feeling hell. "Just make this finish as fast as possible" i was whispering to myself. And then ma turn came to introduce me to guy n his family.. I murmured " Maria ,be cool. All is well.". I sat down on the chair in the dining hall infront of that guy. I had starting troubles. I was moving ma hand over the other.

 We just shared a few things on the dining hall as part of casual talk. And then parents told guy n girl can talk to each other. Impulsively i told like " we il go upstairs.". Everybody started laughing. I was ashamed. I didnt use to drink tea. That i told  in the beginning when they asked me. But while we were going upstairs he told that take the cup of tea with me. I was okai with that. But slowly slowly i was freed of ma tensions. He was gentle and was a good listener. After about half an hour or more , ma sister came all the way upstairs and told us that everybody want us downstairs.. We did nt feel like we talked too much. We were quite in good sink. 

    And finally when they left ,i waved at the guy as if we do when friends leave our home. All around me laughed again. 

Now , i am sitting on the sofa of "that guys " home. Yeah ma husbands home. He is ma new best friend. My loving one n only husband.
