This post is from the bottom of my heart. My mother, Mrs Aleyamma Alias aka Leela was born to late Urumese and Unichar. She grew up as their youngest daughter. She is an extremely dedicated and a hardworking woman. She used to find time to help her parents in paddy fields from her fifth standard. She used to go to school and there after pre degree college by walking even longer distances that I could ever imagine. These are some of her experiences she used to tell us when we complain about our lives. She is a full time homemaker who makes delicious foods for her dear ones. Our house was transformed to a wonderful home which we named as Pearl villa with a wonderful garden by her selfless efforts. She cultivates vegetables fruits etc in her backyard. Some may think these are just flattery stuff. No it’s not. A mother is someone who can be a role model in many ways to their children. But exceptions can be there. My mother , is a role model to me. Her consistency, dedication, hardwork, kindness, emotional intelligence and utmost love is something tougher for a person like me to maintain and achieve. I am really grateful to God for gifting my life to be born as a daughter to my Iron Lady , My Mummy. I have triplet kids. She is also one of the greatest supporters to take care of them since it’s a team work to look after my naughty ones.
Many people underestimate their mothers. It’s hard for me to imagine a day without her. Once I got married, I am realising how hard is to maintain the role of a mother a wife and many more roles as a person in different parts of one’s life in imperfectly perfect ways. Nobody is perfect. There will be flaws. So we should be ready to accept one’s and somebody else’s imperfections so that we will get a sense of gratitude , self love and pure heart and soul. A soulful life is hard to cultivate. But getting engaged in what we do to its fullest and reaping fruits of hardwork, love and passion is what make a person’s life meaningful. I learnt these and still continuing the process of life education through my mother, father, husband, mother in law , siblings , my teachers , my friends and colleagues and the persons I meet everyday. But the cornerstone to its process was paved by mother. “Be brave like a lion , be kind like a mother and be you like you” , the role model to this quote in my life is my mother, Leela.
